Privacy Policy
AX Arcade is an Android game app by AX Games, the game studio of the
Huntbits team. It is listed on Google Play as AX Arcade
(com.ax.games). Today it contains online Tic-Tac-Toe, Connect Four, Snake, Minesweeper and 2048; more games
will be added to the same app, and this policy covers them too.
The short version: AX Arcade is an online game, so your matches, your progress and your friends list are kept on our game server. You can play as a guest without giving a name, an email address or a password. The app shows ads and sends crash reports and usage statistics to Google. Signing in with a Huntbits account is optional and is needed only for AX Points and friends. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Playing as a guest
When you first open the app it creates, on your phone:
- An install ID — a random identifier made by the app for this installation. It is not your phone's hardware ID, your advertising ID or your phone number.
- A sign-in token — so the game server recognises this installation the next time you open the app.
The game server (game.huntbits.com) creates a player record
for you with a player ID, a display name, and when you first and last
played. A guest gives us no email address and no real name.
2. What the game server keeps
- Your player record — player ID, display name, level and XP, Energy, your invite code and who invited you, the install ID, and when you joined and were last seen.
- Matches — who played, the board and format, the result, the score, whether a player left or ran out of time, and the XP and AX Points the match gave. These make up your match history, your statistics and the monthly ranking, where your display name, level and XP are shown to other players.
- Snake games — your score, when you played, and the XP and AX Points the game gave. The turns you made are sent to the server once, so it can check the score, and are not kept.
- 2048 games — your score, your biggest tile, when you played, and the XP and AX Points the game gave. The swipes you made are sent to the server once, so it can check the result, and are not kept.
- Minesweeper games — whether you cleared the board, how much of it you cleared, when you played, and the XP and AX Points the game gave. The squares you open are sent to the server as you play and are not kept after the game.
- Rooms and invites — the room codes you create or join, and, if you installed the game from a friend's link, the invite or room code in that link (read once from Google Play's install referrer).
- Rewarded ads — that you watched an ad for Energy, and when.
- Connection details — like any internet service, the server sees your IP address and the app version when you connect, and keeps standard logs to run and secure the service.
3. Friends and chat
Friends and chat are available only when you are signed in with a Huntbits account.
- Friends — the server keeps your friends list, friend requests and the players you have blocked. Your friends can see your display name, level, whether you are online, and your record against them.
- Chat with friends — the messages you send to a friend are stored on the game server so both of you can read them later. They are visible to you and that friend. They are not end-to-end encrypted.
- Quick chat in a match — a fixed set of short phrases sent to your opponent. They are shown during the match and are not stored.
- Reports — if you or another player report a chat, the report, the reason given and the recent messages of that chat are shown to our reviewers. We may turn off chat for a player who breaks the rules. Messages are read by us only when a chat is reported.
Please do not put personal details such as your address, phone number or passwords in chat.
4. Huntbits account and AX Points (optional)
If you choose Sign in with Huntbits, the sign-in page opens in
your browser at huntbits.com; the app never sees your password.
Huntbits is our own service, and the account itself — your email address and
sign-in details — is covered by the
Huntbits Privacy Policy.
Once you are signed in:
- The game server receives your Huntbits Player ID and display name, and links them to your player record. It does not receive your email address or password.
- After a match, the game server tells Huntbits
(
api.huntbits.com) the AX Points you earned and why (for example that a match was played and its result), so they are added to your account. - When you use the AX Points screen, the game server asks Huntbits for your balance, and passes on what you choose to do with your points there: getting Premium days for the AX apps, or entering a reward pool.
Everything that happens with points after that — pools, rewards, identity checks for larger withdrawals and payouts — happens on Huntbits and is described in the Huntbits Privacy Policy. AX Arcade itself never asks for identity documents, wallet addresses or payment details, and the app has no purchases.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
AX Arcade shows ads served by Google AdMob: banners, an ad when you return to the app, and rewarded ads you choose to watch for Energy. AdMob is operated by Google and may collect device information such as your advertising ID and IP address to show and measure ads, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation in Android's own settings, at Settings → Privacy → Ads.
6. Crash reports and usage statistics (Google Firebase)
To find and fix crashes and to learn which parts of the game are used, the app uses Google Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase. They receive:
- Crash reports — what went wrong in the app's code, the app version, device model and Android version, which screen was open, whether the app was connected, and your game player ID (a random ID, not your name or email).
- Usage events — which screens are opened; that a match started and how it ended (board, format, result); that you signed in; that an ad for Energy was shown; that AX Points were used and whether it worked; and that a friend action happened (for example a request sent or a message sent).
- General information — device model, Android version, app version, country, whether you are a guest or signed in, your level, and identifiers Firebase creates for this installation.
Never sent to Google by us: your display name, your friends' names, or anything you write in chat.
This data is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Permissions
- Internet and network state — to play online.
- Advertising ID — added by the ads service, as described in section 5.
The app does not request your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files.
8. Who we share information with
- Other players — your display name, level, XP and match results, as described in sections 2 and 3.
- Huntbits — our own service, for sign-in and AX Points (section 4).
- Google — for ads, crash reports and usage statistics (sections 5 and 6).
- Our hosting provider — which runs the game server on our behalf.
- Authorities — when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
9. Data retention and deletion
Your player record, matches, friends and chat messages are kept for as long as you use the game. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling it removes what is stored on your phone; it does not by itself delete what the game server holds.
To have your game data deleted, email us at the address below. If you are signed in, write from your Huntbits account's email address; if you play as a guest, quote the friend or invite code shown in the app so we can find your record. We will delete your player record, friends list and chat messages. Results of matches you played stay in your opponents' history without your name. Records we must keep by law, for example of rewards that were paid out on Huntbits, are kept for the period the law requires.
Deleting your Huntbits account itself is described in the Huntbits Privacy Policy. Crash reports and usage statistics are kept by Google Firebase for its standard retention period and then deleted.
10. Children
AX Arcade is for adults: it is rated 18+ on Google Play because AX Points can be turned into rewards. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Huntbits accounts, AX Points and rewards have their own age rules, set out on huntbits.com. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
The app talks to the game server, and the game server to Huntbits, over encrypted connections (HTTPS and secure WebSocket). Sign-in tokens are stored on the server only in hashed form. The server decides every move and result, so a modified copy of the app cannot change another player's data.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
